ipod_pic.jpg5 Aha Moments!

1. I really liked listening to the podcasting samples I found on Nicole's list of websites. http://www.springfield.k12.il.us.ipod, more specifically, the http://www.mpsomaha.org/willow/radio/shows/Willowcast33.html Since I've never made any podcasts before, it was fun listening to an entire podcast show put on by fourth graders. I also thought this would be a great site to show my students so they can hear an example of a podcast show.

2.http://classroominthecloud.blogspot.com/2009/03/ipods-in-classroom-webinar-notes.html I found this website on Jodi's list. This website gave a lot of information about ways to use an ipod in the classroom that I hadn't thought of or found in completing the last assignment.

3. I found this site on Margie's list. I really hadn't thought about any of the downsides of using iPods in the classroom so this site was a good eye-opener. There are many ideas but it's so easy to forget about the practicalities of bringing another media form into the classroom. http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/230656/using_ipods_in_the_classroom_promotes.html?cat=4

4. I loved this site that I also found on Margie's list. I am planning on showing some of these sites to my classroom. http://www.learninginhand.com/podcasting/index.html

5. My final Aha! moment came from Tim's list. When I summarized it for my daughter she informed me she wanted to move to Scotland. http://deadlinescotland.wordpress.com/2009/05/14/5638-1005/. I hope that schools in the United States catch up.
